Extrapolation below lowest rpm cell

Post by esv »

A theoretical question: I understand that below 450 RPM the "cranking cell" (upper left) is used. But what happens at RPMs above 450, but below the lowest RPM bin value?

Example: Left bin at 800 RPM. Engine speed drops to 600 RPM. Does the advance stay put om the 800 RPM value, or is there a linear interpolation towards zero in a any way?

:)

Hi,

If the measured value goes beyond the extents of the map- high or low, on either axis- the value is railed to that bin. So in your example, the advance would stay put at the 800 RPM bin.
