VR sensor on bell housing

Post by tom2086 »

Hi,
I am planning on installing my megajolt on a 1.8 zetec engine.
At the moment it has the VR sensor attached to the bell housing pressumably using the flywheel as a reference rather than a trigger wheel on the crank pulley (there is no trigger wheel present).
Is this an acceptable method to use, has anyone done it this way?

Thanks

Completely acceptable - that's the absolutely correct way of doing a Zetec...Mr Ford has already put suitable webbing on the flywheel so that you can use the OEM VR sensor and not mess about with trigger wheels/VR mounting brackets etc

Go to it!
