troubleshooting no spark

Post by AE86 MJLJ user »

Still trying to figure out why i am not getting any spark. It appears that the wiring throughout the systm is all good. Just got a new coil pack and wires so thats not the problem. Is it possible for the EDIS module to somehow "go bad"? I am running non-shielded wires on the VR sensor, will this somehow cause it to not spark? Brent, I was wondering what power source you used for the coil. Thanks, answers to any of these would narrow down my investigation immensely.

Try checking your VR sensor wires, swap them round and see if it makes a difference.

For my application, I just tapped into the same circuit that originally powered the ECU- in the fusebox it was labeled "EFI". Should work for you.
