Shift light and Tacho Wiring - Think I did it wrong?

Post by Sammy D »

Ahoy!

I've been running MJLJ V3 on my supercharged classic mini for a while now, anyway, my shift light and Tachometer have never worked.

So, when I wired the shift light, does the MJLJ send a 12v signal or does it just complete the earth to make a circuit? I cant remember how I wired it off hand but it doesn't work either way.

Also, the tacho, same question does the MJLJ send the 12v or just complete the circuit? I've got it just completing the circuit and it doesn't work, have I just got it wrong?

Thanks, Sam.

Sam
On both instances they are grounded to complete the circuit. I can give you hand if you like as i only live in Fareham.

Ah ok, I think the bulb might have gone in the light then!

As for the tacho, my EDIS doesnt have the tacho output, am I right in thinking that I also need that?

Thanks for the offer buddy, I guess you worked out im from P&S. My Mini is in Guildford at the moment though.
