Distributor Triggering option

Any chance of the MJLJ being triggered to provide spark using factory distributors? I'm only asking because it seems to me it could potentially broaden the usage of the MJLJ.

It would interface w/ factory distributors like the typical MSD 6AL but be programmable and FAR more affordable.

I'm certain I'm not the only one who has put forth this inquiry. Brent?

Hi Jonas,

In principal, yes- it would involve changing the input/output circuit to intercept the signal from the igniter, and then change the behavior of the signal it outputs.

Do you have a spare 4AG distributor I can borrow?

as a matter of fact, i may have a large port and small port distributor. i can send you both. the small port has a crank angle sensor that the large port doesn't.

Yes, please slow-boat them my way!

I was thinking the coil driver could be on-board with this design, to save the expense of an MSD box. Thoughts?
