what is possible, from talking too one of my fabulous friends, is to get the green and red leds flashing at high speeds making it look orange but you can't have the red and green leds on continuously to make orange. The leds in the cluster total 14, 6 red and 8 green. Having both on continuously its obvious to see the red and green leds, unless it looks orange in your periheral vision????

You could also alter the brightness of led by changing the frequency or duty cycle of the led so maybe this could be incorpoated when looking into an orange colour????

Have you ordered the same cluster i have????

I think its the same cluster from maplins.

To get the oragne I was thinking of fitting a misted lens over the led cluster to merge the red and green light, along with playing with the resister values.

Cars off the road until next spring so I have plenty of time to fit the megajolt and play around with Ideas.

Getting the leds to flash at speed is probably a bit beyond me.

thats a clever idea, hadn't thought of that. A sort of diffuser to mix the colours. Not sure how you would mount it on the cluster unless you mount the cluster behind your dash, with the screen covering the hole is possible??? or a 52mm gauge pod hmmm???

couple of ideas for you anyway

Thanks, still not properly fitted it into my car as yet but does work well.

I used a bit of circuit board, in the end, which you can get from a hobbiest shop and placed some heatshrink over the top of it. It fits quite snudly in any part of a wiring loom and isn't noticable or likely to short out on something. I'll get some phots up of what i have done.
