Power Supply during configuration of MJLJ unit via computer

Post by robert verhey »

Hi All,

The breadbord installation works now, supposedly also when the Megajolt Lite ECU is connected. Time to go to the next phase: Configuring the software in the Megajolt Lite.

I don't have a laptop computer. Therefore I like to take the Megajolt Lite unit to my study. Is it sufficient to connect the Megajolt Lite ONLY to COM1 of the computer? With other words, do I need to connect the Megajolt for configuring as well to a 12 Volt supply via the 14 pin MJLJ connector (normally connected to the car)?

Best regards,
