hi guys,
im running megajolt bought about 1 yr ago, with 2L zetec
I think i have communication with the pc, but keep getting the message "cannot read config data"
I have the power leads wired in, have yet to wire in the tps/vref/ and crank position sensor-
this is because I cannot tell which way round these wires should be and was hoping to get megajolt running and connected to the pc, then try the wires until correct
any ideas?
any help greatly appreciated!!!!
initial problems

Hi Les,
Since it's been a while, make sure you have the latest configuration software. download the V3.0.0 here:
http://www.autosportlabs.net/index.php? ... n_Software
You can verify the power connection by referring to the connector pinout here:
http://www.autosportlabs.net/index.php? ... tion_guide
If you have trouble communicating with the unit, make sure you're using the correct COM port, and that any other software isn't using it. There's a troubleshooting guide here:

Im no expert Les but have had some teething problems. All were down to the laptop. The main problem was that i had mobile phone communication software loaded and i believe that was blocking the ports. I uninstalled it. The installed brays terminal to test the MJLJ coms (allowed me to set up the ports).
After that i was struggling with Java and an old version of MJLJ. I upgraded as Brent suggests and it worked immediately.
now had car running and able to tune the advance up.
