Hi Dan, looks nice setup.
Just curious which VR sensor bracket are you are using. Is that the KAD one? I am using one by www.specialist-components.com. which looks very similar.
Also, I am fitting twin dcoe webers on a 7 port head on my other midas so I will be fitting a TPS on that one. I noticed you have a TPS fitted on yours. Is that the weber alpha TPS you are using on your DCOE?
Kind regards,
David

Hi Dan,
Thanks for that. I thought is was but wasnt sure. I think I will have to find one of them TPS myself as it looks like a straightforward and tidy fit you've done there.
Yes the 7 port looks great......I just hope it goes as good as it looks for the price it cost. Hoping to get a k1100 head when I get a chance.
Have fun!
Kind regards,
David

i was inspired after seeing the shift lights available in the store, so i found a similar one locally and set about fitting it up.
it has green and 6 red leds, in a plastic case roughly 1 inch across. i wired both red and green sets to the shift light output on the molex connector. they are very bright because it is designed to be used in outdoor signs i think.

Good luck with the MOT!
Mine was last week and passed.....having not been on the road since '98.
The MOT tester happened to notice the megajolt and commented how great it looked.
As my car is on a Q plate it doesnt need to do the emissions tests (except for visible smoke test), however we thought it would be interesting to see how it faired up on the analyser. Anyway it was well inside the limits...even though I knew I had richened the mixture on the needle.

Alpha tps
Hello Dan
Very neat install. And a really great colour on a mini.
Just about to install a weber TPS on the 40's on my Caterham crossflow, but i will be doing my own loom, so need to find a loom plug for the tps. Do you know the type (assuming 3 terminal female mini timer, but would like to confirm) or where i could obtain the correct one in the uk?
Thanks in advance

VWP catalogue
Hi Dan
Thanks for the info. I already have the catalogue as i had to do a big rewire about a year ago, and i am going to buy the thin wall loom wire from them anyway. There only looks to be one connector in the catalogue that would fit (192148) on page 30, is that the one? Also are the terminals crip or solder?

well with all the rain we have been getting lately i havent had much chance to drive the mini. so i decided that while its just sitting there i may as well make it quicker! i have ordered a supercharger kit, which should arrive next week, and i need to swap from tps to map sensing on the megajolt.
should increase the power nicely, but more importantly a nice increase in torque.

MAP sensor megajolt ordered, just need to put a hose barb on the inlet for the map sensor. got the day off work monday so i am taking the pulley to an engineering company to have it modified for the trigger wheel.
its slowly getting there, really gunning to get it done, because sod's law, as soon as i have started all this the bloody sun is out again!
