Can the cranking advance in cell 0,0 be set to less than the default 10 degrees of the EDIS system? or would i need to alter the position of the toothed wheel to allow a real 5 degrees, and alter the running advance table to compensate.
What is the permissible advance range that can be programed if the setup is running with the EDIS firing at 10 degrees when in limp home mode?

Hi,
The MJLJ allows you to set an advance of 0 - 59 actual degrees BTDC anywhere in the ignition map.
There is also a special behavior in the controller where, if the engine is at cranking RPM (below about 450 RPM), the controller fixes the ignition advance to whatever is specified in ignition cell 0,0 (lowest RPM / lowest load cell). and yes- this value is also configurable between 0 and 59 degrees BTDC.
Hope this helps,

cranking advance
Thanks Brent, covers all the ground.
I was just unsure of whether EDIS was designed to do advance of less than 10 degrees. As it will, i can set my cranking advance to 5 degrees and give my starter a bit of an easier time.
