Trigger wheel diameter

Post by strikerrich »

Hi there,

I am thinking of installing megajolt to my cvh engined kit car.
What diameter trigger wheel should I fit? I was going to get a 3" dia one from triggerwheels.com and bolt it to the front pulley. Does this sound ok?

Does anyone know of a rolling road tuner who has experience with these systems? I don't know anything about mapping!

Any help is gladly appriciated.

Rich.

Hi Rich

Welcome!

If your engine is a Zetec, you probably don't need a trigger wheel at all - you should have a 36-1 "webbing" cast into the flywheel and a VR sensor already pointing at it. Makes things rather easy! Otherwise 3"-5" for a trigger wheel is fine.

Whereabouts are you? There's lots of good RRs, but I guess you want one close to you?
