just a couple of daft questions
based on a edis 4 does anyone know which cylinders will be fired by the coil A output?? the reason i ask is im not using the standard ford coil pack but a twin coil setup which produces a wasted spark at the moment one coil does cyliders 2&3 and the other does 1&4
second does the edis 4 module need to be mounted on metal work for use as a heat shrink or will it be ok stuck to plastic???
thank in advance
simon

Hi Simon,
In the standard configuration, Coil A connects to 1 & 4. If your engine is running smoothly then you likely have it wired correctly. EDIS-4 is the easiest to hook up, firing-sequence wise.
For the EDIS module- it doesn't require excessive heat sinking, but if you take a cue from the ford engineers, it's always mounted to a bracket which is then mounted to the metal body of the car, away from the engine- like the inner fender wall or the front bulkhead.
Hope this helps,

thanks for the reply, its not fitted to the car yet but youve told me what i need to know, just for the gallery here is a pic of the old ecu case that its now hidden in and it also now utilises the OE spec wiring even down to the cable that runs 90% of the way to the sensor

and this is what it'll be running soon
