Hello-
Brand new to the forum and MJLJ. Just pre-ordered my V4, and have picked up all the EDIS parts last week. I am replacing the ignition system on a '73, 24V ex-MOD Land Rover. I noticed that someone on here has done something similar, and am using him as inspiration.
Understanding the ground loops should be minimized, is there any problem with running a slightly longer wire bundle to the EDIS system from the MJLJ? I would like to place the EDIS at the opposite corner of the engine compartment as the MJLJ. The wire run would be about 6 feet. Is this too long? I would also like to have about 3 feet between the EDIS and the coil pack. Could there be any problem with that?
Thanks
-Jim

Those cable lengths are similar to what we have for our MR2 installation, so you should be ok. Just follow a 'star' pattern with grounding- ground the EDIS module and the MJLJ to the same point on the chassis.
Note- The MJLJ should be installed inside the passenger compartment away from the elements (heat, moisture).
