Input power

Post by KITT »

I have a few questions about the 12v input in the MegaJolt unit:

1) Does it require a power input that come on/off with the ignition or does it need a permenent supply?
2) What current rating should I assume so I can fuse it correctly?
3) Does it need any kind of protection when the engine is cranking over?

thanks

Matt

I think you need to have power to the MJ board before cranking, i.e. from your ignition switch.
My MJ was taking about 30mA @ 12volts , I guess if you fuse it for 0.5Amps that will be more than adequate.
