35 tooth wheel off an Explorer

Post by greenn50 »

I have a 35 tooth wheel off an Explorer and the sensor will this work I’m trying to get the set up on my 351w I don’t know what years the Explorer is but it looks similar to the escort trigger wheels. Will this work for me I read in all the forums about 36 tooth wheels but not 35 THANKS for helping the new guy!

36-1 = 35

When people refer the the toothed wheel they call it a 36 minus 1 toothed wheel because it's actually got 35 teeth. The reason for the 36-1 is because the teeth are spaced as if there are 36, but one is removed. This gap is what the VR sensor detects so as long as the wheel you've sourced has this gap it should work fine.
