PIP and SAW connection with ECC-4

I have 1995 Ford Crown Victoria, EDIS-8 and ECC-IV. Connected megajolt, PIP and SAW from EDIS to megajolt, powered up, won't start. (will crank but no spark).

I then connected PIP to ECC and megajolt, now it will start. What's up with that? Why won't it start when PIP is not connected to ECC? Should PIP be connected to ECC and megajolt?

Note that I have a functional megajolt, I connected it to PC and it communicates, saves data, pressure changes when I blow the vacuum line, I haven't done other tests on it just yet.

Please help.
