TPS on SU carb??

Post by Postman Matt »

hi guys, first of all best say hi as this is my first post here. Great forum and full of useful info :D

Need some help with one small issue i seem to be stuck on:- Basically i've recently got my hands on a MJLJ TPS version and accquired the relevant parts needed to get underway with the install. The one thing that has me stumped is the mounting of my TPS on an SU carb on a mini. Has anyone got any suggestions for the best way to go about this and if anyone has already done this can they share pics or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

Matt

I'd be tempted to fit the MAP option instead of using the TPS personally, unless your engine is a bit on the wild side.

Well the future plans will be a little on the wild side, i have read that the MAP version doesn't like wild cam durations and with the possible change to bike carbs i feel TPS would be the better option

You should be able to fit something. How about a pic of your carb so we can give you ideas?

Or you could just run a 2D map for now(all rpm-based) and later add the TPS when you change to bike carbs.

Think i have solved the issue now, been talking with a mate and it should actually be relatively to solve.

I will post pics of my test fittings for future reference 8)

Hello, thanks for the pics showing the installment. Will come in very handy.

Not been able to get online for some time due to personal reasons so project has kind of been on back burner, but should be back on it now
