Rev limit vs Limp home

Post by Craigorypeck »

As my megajolt has a rev limit that is controlled using the +12v to coilpack does this mean if I ever have a problem with the unit my limp home mode will be cut off too?

The rev limiter should not affect limp home. If the Megajolt dies, the limiter won't limit is all. The limiter is a pass-through device, it passes voltage to your coil until the Megajolt tells it to not to.

I see.. So as long as there is a MJ connected, without even being powered up the limp home will still work.
Happy days, I thought there was a trade off. Even better then!!

You do have the rev-limit board slid in the Megajolt case, correct?
