Bolt on trigger wheel

Post by Ratchet »

Here is a photo of how I bolted on the trigger wheel for my '74 MG 1275. I just got laid-off from work where we had a full machine shop which I was going to use to do this job, but low and behold I had to do it at home. I have an inexspensive cad program and calipers. I entered all my diameters and bolt hole positions. Then I printed it out full size. Carefully cutting the pattern out with scissors I used contact cement to glue it on the trigger wheel. I then used a center punch to transfer the points onto the wheel. After drilling the wheel I used it as the pattern for the pulley. I have eight holes because I haven't yet designed my pick-up mount, so I wanted some flexability.
