On my 1969 Mercedes 6.3 I have major problems getting any sort of results with the fuel available here in Australia and as result I get huge preignition . I have adjusted my timing etc to try and ease the situation but at full throttle it rattles like mad. What I want to do is add water injection utilising the MJ.
This is a far better solution than using knock control or lifting my foot.
The biggest issue is the engines mechanical fuel injection and to utilise water injection properly I need to inject the water at various points through the rev range not just at full throttle ,could it be possible to add something to as MJ to power a solenoid(via relays etc ) ?
