I have an interesting problem. After installing the MJ I am configured the TPS (Weber). Without the engine running I can see in the configurator the TPS being moved through the full range. However when the engine is running the TPS movement is not shown in the configurator.
Is this a wiring problem or a problem with the software?
FYI: Install is:
MJLE on a Ford Crossflow in Caterham 7. Using a Weber TPS, all the rest of the parts supplied by trigger-wheels.
Timing is being sent to the EDIS (checked with timing gun).
TPS Problem??

Hi cskip,
So while the engine is running you see the RPMs update, but not the TPS?
If this is the case there could be some electrical interference seen on that line.
- check the ground connection and the wiring between the TPS and Megajolt
- Are you running resistor plugs and wires? If not, you should replace them as non-resistor plugs can cause interference with electronics.
- where do the TPS wires run in relation to the igition wires? if they are close, you can try moving them.
Let us know what you find out and we can go from there

Update:
1. Checked the Earth to the TPS, all is good. Interestingly I was sharing the earth with the MJ and the EDIS. So I isolated the Earth to the TPS. Still had the same problem. Also checked the voltage between wires to the TPS both ignition on and engine running. Got the same results.
2. I am running non-resistor plugs (NGK B9EGV). I am loathed to spend (£50) on a new set of plugs without being convinced that this is root of the problem!
3. This is my next line of attack.
