is it possible to use mega jolt light Jr on a ford escort that came with edis? my friend wants to use the stock ecu for fuel but im pretty sure its a 97 so its odb2

It should work fine, you would just need to make sure the ECU doesn't throw a fault code when you patch in the MJLJ.
