Auxiliary Voltage Tables

Post by Tadhg »

Hello all. Got a quick question with regards to the Voltage Tables for the Auxiliary Input. I'm using my Auxiliary Input to monitor coolant temp, I've gone and measured the temp of the head at the thermostat to get a few points, then interpolated and extrapolated them to get the following series of numbers in degrees Fahrenheit, all working with the numbers in the voltage table:

However, no matter what I do, when I restart the car I get a corrupted version, exported and shown below:

Sorry about the long list, the values aren't critical (I don't think), I've just posted them to show there's a clear difference.

I've done my best to follow the instructions in the V4 Installation Guide, but I feel like I'm missing something. My standard procedure is to 'Read Calibration' (in order to ensure it's all connected and reading), 'Load Calibration' (from my .txt file), then 'Write Calibration'. I don't get an option to 'Commit to Flash' when I leave the dialogue box, I'm not sure what else I should be doing, or why the list seems to be corrupted. Any tips would be appreciated.

Ok - figured out my problem. My problem is that I used the Fahrenheit scale. I used it in order to avoid using negative numbers. Thankfully, after checking everything, my lowest Celsius number is 1.

The Auxiliary Input Table won't accept values higher than 255. This is the reason why my last 5 values were random figures, which also impacted the rest of the table as they landed at random locations through the other values. I've had to change the last two figures in my new table (both were comfortably above 255), but the MegaJolt is now happy to accept the table.
