I'm trying to figure out how to get a 5V sensor supply from the RaceCapturePro for potentiometer type sensors.
How about using the
* 4 configurable 0-5v analog or frequency output (PWM) channels
* Control other systems or even override OEM sensors
and just fixing them at a 5V output to provide a sensor supply suitable for potentiometer type sensors?
I see that the Sensor Breakout Board could also supply 5V Vref, but I'd prefer to avoid the extra components and get something out of the RaceCapturePro itself. Would fixing the outputs to 5V work?
Onboard 5V sensor supply?

Hi,
Actually, we've dedicated a terminal block connection for a 5v voltage reference. It's right between the analog inputs and the PWM outputs, when you look at the infographic here: http://www.autosportlabs.net/RaceCapture
The output is protected by a auto-resetting poly fuse and the current limit is about 100ma.
Hope this helps!
