What type of spark plugs to use?

I know the heat range rating to use but do the plugs need to be resistor type? I will be using custom set of Magnecor Electrosports80 ignition leads, which are advertised to provide "exceptional RFI and EMI suppression"

With dizzy setup I'd be using NGK BPR6EY.

I had real problems when trying to use NON resistor type plugs (NGK BP7ES's) and my ford xflow.

I swapped them for BPR7ES's (same but resistor type) and all was well again.
