No RPM Reading

Post by 63vwbug »

I am not receiving any readings on my lap top.

The message I'm getting is "Timeout reading cylinder count"

I've checked the voltage reading EDIS pin 1 and had 12 volts. I had almost 6 volts at the PIP input with the engine running.

I am receiving rpm reading on my tach from the "tach output" pin.

What should I be checking next?

Hi,

it looks llike your computer is not able to talk to the Megajolt system over the serial / usb cable. So, verifying basic connectivity is the first step.

Before you're going to be able to watch the RPM live on the screen, you need to verify you can communicate with the system. Please review the connectivity steps here to ensure you have a properly configured serial port and that it is set correctly in the Megajolt software:

Please let us know what you find out!

UPDATE:
I ordered a new tuning cable and all is well. My old one must have a break in it some where.

Thanks for your help.
