MAP sensor?

If the MJLJ is used in a race car with 2 sidedraught carburettors, can the MAP sensor be left out of the circuit and if so, do you require anything else on the pc board to complete any circuits?
Is there a list that explains all the abbreviations used?

I am working with throttle position sensor instead of map
TPS sensor mounted on the axe of carb's.
This sensor replaces the map sensor.

Thanks Ivan, I think this would be a little potensiometer mounted on the ends with a 90 degree rotation. What value should it be to give the correct output to the processor?
Is there a performance advantage by doing this modification?
