I have been looking to integrate the Race Capture Pro MK2 into my E46 M3 track car. And had a few questions I hope to get answered before purchase.
1. It is said that brake pressure on CAN is model-dependent. Can you elaborate on which E46 variants have brake pressure on CAN?
2. Any fitment guidance on the oil pressure sensor? Where would you recommend mounting it on an S54?
3. How many PIDs per second are you able to log on the E46?
4. Can bluetooth and wifi modules be connected at the same time? My goal is to use Bluetooth with the Android app and Wifi to control a GoPro.
5. Is the GoPro Hero4 Session supported? Based on my research there is a WOL packet that needs to be sent to wake up the camera, but other than that it functions like a normal Hero 4.
6. Can multiple GoPro cameras be controlled?
7. Is there an E46 "endurance package" for the Mk2 like there is for the original RCP?
Apologies if this is already answered in the forum. I searched for all threads with E46 but did not find the answers I needed.

Hi, Sorry for the long delay in responding.
1) regarding brake pressure - it seems very hit or miss, but primarily only available with the E46's outfitted with the more advanced ABS systems. We're still gathering information on that.
2) no particular recommendation - people usually tap into an existing location post oil pump, or Tee into an existing sensor. We include a 1/8" NPT fitting to make it as compact as possible.
3) The E46 doesn't output OBDII style PIDs - it's a continuous stream of CAN data between the ECU and instrument cluster. The data rate seems to be between 10 and 30Hz for the various supported channels.
The E46 CAN integration is definitely *not* OBDII based, which is why it works so well: https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/BMW_E46_CAN
4) Yes, both bluetooth and WiFi can run simultaneously.
5) We're still working on the WOL packet support.
6) out goal is to support multiple go-pro cameras. How many will you be running?

I see you have moved onto the MK3 systems. Are there any mk2 systems available at a discount?
On the MK3 I only see one port for Bluetooth/Wifi. Can you run both bluetooth and wifi with the mk3 system? Is the mk2 bluetooth and wifi modules compatible with mk3?
To answer your question I plan on initially running 2 GoPro cameras, but eventually 3 would be the most I would run.

Hi Peter, yes - MK3 is launched indeed. We currently don't have any MK2 systems available, sorry.
MK3 has built-in Bluetooth and WiFi as described in the specs here: https://www.autosportlabs.com/racecapture_mk3_apex/
You can run 2 concurrent WiFi connections and 1 bluetooth connection. Yes, that means you can run 3 dashboards at the same time.
