Sample rates

Post by Bewbzout »

Sorry if this has been discussed but i am new to all of this and i would like some info on sample rates. I understand that basically it just means how many times a second it is sampling but i dont know what is too high or too low for certain sensors. The sensors i am working with are IAT, MAP and WB O2. What is an average sample rate for these sensors? Thank you -Josh

Typically it's best to sample slow changing sensors at a lower rate to reduce log file size.

ShockTravel - very vast - 250-1000Hz
RPM, OilPress, IAT, MAP and O2 - changes relatively fast. 10-25Hz
FuelLevel, EngineTemp - slow: 1Hz

Hope this helps!
