Aftermarket Coil Booster Compatibility

Post by Speedy8311 »

Im getting ready to install my EDIS-8 in my car and was wondering if I should get an MSD or Screamin Demon type coils or just go with a stock coils and use an ignition booster like the type from Weapon X? Anyone ever use a product like this? I know they fit the cars factory equipped with a EDIS system like the 97 Mustang GT's. Has anyone ever tried it with a Megajolt that's controlling the EDIS system? I appreciate people taking the time to help me out. With out the forums things would be much more difficult.

Thanks- Frank

I would go with the stock coils. They are amazingly powerful and a huge improvement if migrating away from a distributor / single coil.
