Reading trouble codes or checking them

Post by Jetsmini »

Ok so I’ve installed the both of the scripts in the wiki. “Query and Decode Diagnostic Trouble Code”
Sends command but returns nothing. Just keeps saying “Sending check DTC” in log.

The other “ Display OBDII Codes as a channel and allow driver to reset the OBDII Codes with a button”
Gets this.
[lua] Startup script error: ([string
"tickRate = 5..."]:11.0: setChannel: channel not found)

So not sure if it’s just my 07 Mini r56 with obd2 just needs a different request.
This last script I changed a lot of things around and really didn’t make any progress. The channel OBDIICodes showed up in dashboard with a 0 for data. Instead of -1.

Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be great.

This was a 3rd party contributed script; see if you can add some print statements to see if you're getting any CAN messages in response to your queries. Let us know what you find out!
