RC/Track Mk.3 in Nissan Z

Post by PDX Racer »

I'm trying to get the last two signals out of my Nissan Z-steering angle and brake pressure. Just sniffing the OBDII connection, I'm not seeing the steering angle or brake pressure data, but I'm sure it's on the CAN bus lines (as opposed to just the OBDII lines). Is there a cable from ASL that plugs into the OBDII port and provides both the OBDII +/- values as well as the CAN +/- values, and splits them at the RaceCapture/Track end?

Hi, are you saying there are two different CAN bus networks in the car, and you want to access both simultaneously? I ask because regular OBDII connectors only have one CAN bus connection. Often cars have multiple CAN bus networks - one on the OBDII port, and other internal networks that can be tapped into - this is pretty common for newer vehicles.

If so, we have a CAN bus splitter cable which you can use to break out CAN1 and CAN2 - these two will help:
