LED Resistors!

Post by danncus »

hi i found this formula which someone might find helpful for shift lights

To find out what resistor is needed for an LED:

R-(Vs - Vf)/If

Vs = the supply voltage
Vf = the forward voltage rating of LED
If = forward current of the LED

For example, to run an LED with a Vs 12v, Vf of 2.5v and a If of 20ma:

R = (12 - 2.5)/ 0.02 = 470ohms

usual disclaimers apply.....
your home is a risk if you soak your curtains in petrol etc..
