URGENT question - Friday

Post by rmaddock »

My article for LandRover Owner magazine is being edited as we speak and they're trying to be more specific than me about donor cars in the UK for the EDIS modules.

What I know so far is:

V8 - you'll be lucky

V6 - Early mondeos and V6 Scorpios

V4 - Escort, Orion, Fiesta

Are there any more and what years are we talking about for these, especially the V4s.

Any help today would be FABULOUS. Thanks.

Robert.

Think that's about it

For the V4's I'd be tempted to say something like "from the 1989-1994 era"

Thanks Martin,

That's pretty much what info I had managed to trawl up:

V4
##

89-93 Fiesta XR2i
90-92 Fiesta RS Turbo
89-94 Escort 1.6i
90-94 Orion 1.6i

V6
##

Early V6 Mondeos (up to '95)
V6 Scorpios

V8
##

Forget it!

I thought I'd list them again for the next person who's looking for them.

Still, is anybody knows any more, please contribute!

Half an engine

Post by rmaddock »

Hello Brent.

Yes, V4! We can't afford whole engine's over here in Blighty so we make do with a half each :-(

All right, straight-four, if you insist.

I seem to have been on the phone all day to the magazine editors. I'm hoping that now we've reached the end of the working week here they might stop calling.

This month's magazine has just appeared and trails the "electronic ignition" article in next month's so it's looking good.

Cheers!

Robert.
