I used shielded TP network cable. Thin gauge, so I paired the wires. Seems to work ok, but the car isn't on the road yet!

No need to worry about what gear it's in, just log the rpm of the driveshaft. Together with the distance
travelled per driveshaft revolution, you have a loggable speed of vehicle.

I've been using Innovate gear for a year or so now. My setup consists of 3 LC-1 (lambdacable) and one DL-32 datalogger. The reason for having the three LC-1's is to have one wideband sensor per carb. And with the DL-32 I don't need to bring a laptop with me to gather data. Using wideband sensors has...

Looks hot, Brent, and I'll admit I feel an urge to order... I can't help but think that the change to the map sensor mounting, and the removal of the hose and sidewall fitting, is a bad move though. Looks like any struggle to remove the vac hose is going to mean stress on the map sensor and it's hol...

Solved... Even though the sensor cable measured ok, I made it again, and this
time it sparked straight off. Boy oh boy, do I feel stoopid now :-)

So, 2nd install seems to be going ok. Just another 2 to go now.

Thanks Martin. Measuring the voltage generated by the VR-sensor I get readings of about 1.8-1.9V. The PIP voltage I get is 12.5 and 10.5, for no-cranking and cranking respectively. I'm thinking the sensor voltage is OK, but why would the PIP voltage be twice yours? I tried two different EDIS-6 units...

Unfortunately my other install is still in storage for the winter. Will be at least a month until it can come out again... Measuring the PIP, I get 12.5V before cranking, 10.5V while cranking. This indicates that there is full power voltage running up the PIP-wire, which can't be right... I also mea...

2nd installation : No spark

Hi, started on my second installation yesterday, this time in a 1968 Jaguar S-type. Had the trigger wheel ready made up, and the sensor bracket (helps to have a spare engine on the floor to make this stuff up). Finished wiring it all up today, and while I was hoping that this time I'd nail it first ...

How to debug a completed unit?

Hi, just finished soldering together 3 Megajolt units and before I mount them in the boxes, I wanted to verify that they were ok. I verified voltages at each step and all were good, but when I connect them to the laptop now only 2 of them will communicate. The third just sits there. Are there any fu...

I had a look on eBay for an appropriate crimping tool, without luck. There seems to be a wide array of possible ones! Could you possibly post a link to one of the right type?

A friend is installing two of these in his Jaguar (v12): http://www.14point7.com/JAW/JAW.htm He's not finished wiring yet though, so I don't know how it is working out. I run 3 Innovate LC1 controllers and a DL-32 datalogger in my Jaguar (straight six, three carbs). You're right about it being the w...

Looks like the Google cache of the original page has gone missing now. Attached is the IPAQSparker file (contains one .app file you need to copy to your iPaq). To be able to run the program, you need to download and install Orbworks PocketC, which can be found here: http://www.orbworks.com/pcce/down...

You can bring the page up in Googles cache: http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:K__DNsqa090J:ipaqsparker.tripod.com/+pocketspark&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&client=firefox-a This has all the information. I have the Megajolt file you need (though it would be good to know if we might be allowed ...
