rev limiter/ ecu fault
im getting an intermittent fault on the rev limiter, unfortunatly when its happened i havent had a tester to hand to check but im pretty sure either the ecu is sending out signals when it shouldnt or the rev limiter is juts cutting in, it only happens on initial starting and is very random, ive chan...

lost putputs
i only use one of the outputs on my mjlj, this was output 2, for some reason last week this has now stopped working, also at the same time the rev counter has developed a very irratic reading, above 2500rpm all is fine but below even though engine idle is spot on the rev counter is bouncing about fr...

Ford RS1600i turbo technics
after buyiong a genuine turbo technics kit for my mk3 escort rs1600i i was a little miffed that i would be unable to keep using the standard twin coil setup that makes the cars unique, that was until i started researching the mjlj, needless to say its now not only arrived but is installed and runnin...

oh worrying that, definatly only cuts the supply to the coils (runs twin coils) restarts fine though, ive tried various limits starting with 3000rpm as a trial, this has only been tried stationary so far so not sure if it makes a difference when driving or not. im happy to buy the proper rev limit b...

rev limiter
ive got the rev limiter output simply connected to a relay which interupts power to the coils, havent driven it yet with the limiter set but on trials in the garage the relay cuts in as expeted when the limit is reached but as the revs drop i would expect the revs to pick up again as the throttle is...

trial run succesful in rs1600i cvh
soon to be running a turbo 1.9cvh i thought i would test the wiring/ecu on the existing engine first, all wiring is factory standard and the MJLJ is fitted in the cars original ecu case to utilise the cars harness and plugs the only difference being the plug which is for the rev limit circuit which ...

thanks for the reply, its not fitted to the car yet but youve told me what i need to know, just for the gallery here is a pic of the old ecu case that its now hidden in and it also now utilises the OE spec wiring even down to the cable that runs 90% of the way to the sensor http://i22.photobucket.co...

a couple of easy question???
