Had the wedge on a dyno shoot out at the weekend.

Not bad for an old rover V8 running on flapper injection with a MJ on it's base map.

Hi Dominik,

I'm glad the mod worked after looking at the datasheet of the chip used I came up with the simple hack and was to be honest quite surprised when it worked.

Good drawing too, as you say your dad must have too much spare time.

Hi There, I had the same problem with my SW / TVR Tach, If you take the unit apart there should be transformer which senses the current spikes and generates a voltage output. I Cut the track going to the transformer and connected the output of the transformer to input cable with a 1K resistor and al...

I'm using a pair of Vectra coils with EDIS8 so I don't see the v6 coil being much different.

I did measure the resistance of the GM coil and it was almost the same as the ford one.

Try this :

http://www.ken555.plus.com/gtm/connectors.html

I used a pair of pointed tweezers to push the plastic tags out of the way and let the pins out.
After doing it twice I've got the hang of it now

120 TVR's revving up at the same time in the Piece hall sounded great !

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. So if i just use one ignition fused live to the 12v pin, then i just take a wire from the pin marked coil power to what would be the 12v of the coil? Thats good then ill just leave the rev limier output pin alone lol. Also whilst im here what size fues should ...

VR Sensor. Ford Zetec sensor on custom bracket squeezed in between crank & PAS pulley. 36-1 is from trigger-wheels.com with 4 spacers The back of the Pulley had to be machined off to get enough clearance. Washers used to adjust the VRS / trigger wheel gap http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac60/...

89 TVR 400SE Jolted !

This evening I have got it running, to my amazement she fired up as soon as I powered up the EDIS in limp home. A brief dance around the then garage followed I've now got the MJ wired in, the old coil has been removed and the Lucas 4CU Injection ECU is picking up the coil pulses using the 4 diode tr...

Hi Tom, The +12v is the feed from your ignition switch via a fuse, the coil pack(s) are then supplied from the "Coil Power" pin, mormally the 12v is routed through to the coil but when the rev limiter is activated the MJ reduces the voltage supplied to the coil. I believe the "rev lim...

Rover V8 Spark Plugs ?

I'm almost there with the TVR V8 megajolt install, so far I've had to machine a chunk off the crank pulley, modify the tacho and mess around with the injection loom considerably but I'm nearly there... :D The next question involves spark plugs, TVR recommend NGK B7ECS plugs, Am I correct in thinking...

Anyway this is about your problem rather than mine - Have you tried the circuit with the Zener removed (just the two diodes)

Got there at last. The EDIS8 drawing on the B&G site is a little less confusing than the one on the MJ install instructions as the keyways are shown correctly, that combined with a photograph of Elliots EDIS8 wiring from mez.co.uk meant not even I could go wrong. Here is the result (cra**y phone...
