V3.3.1 bug found??

Post by mr_bridger »

Hi Brent,

ive not been about for a bit, been doinf some major bodywork on another car, and i only just got round to updating my V3's to the latest firmware.

As ive had the engine apart, i thought id make use for the trigger offset feature, save me adjusting the crank pulley / trigger wheel.

now when i try to "write options" i get the following error message, although it seems as though it works ok.

Laptop is very basic Pentium 3, 320mb ram, running XP, and im using a serial cable.

all updates and communications work fine, as does programming and flashing.

seems to do it in both V3.3.0 and v3.3.1 versions. (p.s. what the difference?)

Cheers
Ross.

Thanks, guys. I'll verify on my end. So other than the error, you are verifying the values are indeed written after a power cycle?

ill have to verify that, but it certainly updates it, as i watched the timing flicking back and forth as i changed the figure.

didnt re-check after a power cycle....

will do though.
