Screen Wiring

The <a href="http://picasso.org/mjlj/?q=node/606"> Installation Diagram </a> shows that the screening for the VR sensor and PIP/SAW are connected to pin 7 of the EDIS module AND TO EARTH. Reading the other forums indicates that pin 7 should not go to earth as it can stop the advance working.

Which is correct?

if followed the the diagram to the letter (apart from the wire numbers on the coil pack plug) and everything works as it should.
