Tach output from a Siemens MS41 (BMW E36 DME) direct to the RPM1 input. I have a nice 12V square wave (attached) on the pin, but the dash display / telemetry never show any signs of life.
RPM1 is configured for RPM, 10Hz, input. Firmware is current.
Anything else I can check?
[edit: added configuration.]

Added config to the first post.
Also discovered that the microSD card is empty. There doesn't seem to be an option to en/disable logging, so I just assumed that it was based on GPS data. We have run the unit with a SIM and seen position telemetry (look for the BDR Bus on Podium), but the card (8GiB, FAT-formatted) is completely blank.

Hi,
I think I found your problem. You have a 2nd channel also called RPM, under GPIOs. Please rename or disable this channel, write back the config, and see if you get RPM data on the timer channel.
Automatic Logging control:
Right now, it's controlled using a simple script. We have some examples here:
https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/RaceCapt ... ng_control
Let us know what you find out!
