CAN ID confusion

Post by Johnny Borg »

Hi.

I´m new with the ASL product and i think i missing something behind the CAN ID.

I using my own protocol and it starts like this. (See picture)

How should i start in the Race Capture software to make this work?

And one other thing. In the Maxxecu preset CANBUS, why is there only 8 channels?

I using pro mk3

Thanks.

Hi,

I do not quite understand your question. The CAN ID in RaceCapture is the same industry-standard CAN ID you would find anywhere. It is defined in decimal format.

We have an extensive guide here on it: https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/CAN_Bus_ ... ID_and_bus

The MaxxECU has 8 common channels. You are free to add more channels as you see fit, using our easy-to-use interface.

Hi.

The problem was the Decimal format and Maxx uses Hex format.

I think here in Europe the Decimal format is pretty uncommon.
