LPG safety switch needs tach input ..MJ have an output?

Post by EA82GT »

I run LPG/ Propane. It employs a safety switch that is triggered by an input from the single coil on the car's 80's coil and dizzy set-up.
I need to take a better look at all the MJ has to offer, but thought I might take a short cut and ask here.

Is there an equivalent output of the MJ that will excite the safety device simply looking for a tach signal just to tell it engine is running. When no engine running input, safety switch shuts off the gas supply

thanks

Hi - You can possibly use one of the GPIOs to trigger it, and set it to be on or off at a specific RPM threshold.

OK thanks for that info to research. Meanwhile, I bought a coil adapter [diode set I guess] for running a standard tacho off coil pack so this should do the trick for starters
