the firmware is pre-loaded onto the chip, so you don't need to do anything there.
The other files you mentioned- they are included with the config software you installed; you can ignore them.
Are you able to read and write ignition maps with the software? Do you get any error messages at the bottom of the config software window?
The RPM shown is the 'cranking' rpm- meaning it's too low to measure. This really means 'zero' rpm and a future version of the config software will fix this.
Regarding the map sensor- can you confirm you have it installed in the correct orientation? (see pictures)
Can you measure 5V on pins 2 and 3 of the pressure sensor (pin 1 starting near the bottom of the board, with the notch in the pin)
If so, can you measure a voltage on either side of R4 that varies with pressure on the map sensor port?
