Which one is correct.... spot the difference with the coil

In a way, they are both correct. Whatever scheme you use it's important you match the HV plug wires to the correct pistons so the plugs fire correctly. It will be extremely obvious if you have the plug sequence incorrect.
We have documented the 2nd approach, with pin 10 going to pin closest to the coil pack notch.

Sorry just going through making sure i have got everything right.
On mine I made the coil and VR sensor wires temporary, twisted together and taped. Once I had them correct, I made them permanent with solder and heatshrink. for the record, my VR was reversed, but the plugs/coil were correct! Basically, with a 4 cyl, you have a 50/50 chance of each one being right.
