Regarding your need of a molex connector I can tell you what I just did to get another one. The power supply wiring out of any computer has a 20 pin connector. Just get one of those and with a dremel tool, cut off what is not needed. The wires are already factory soldered and really good quality, ju...

Hey Ryan, I've been very lucky to own this car 25+ years and have had just a blast with it. Some modifications with the engine but nothing to the body or interior. The orginal paint is crazing and it has some 100 MPH rock chips. The EDIS and MJ v4 have really brought the car to life and its a joy to...

Jaguar XK DOHC 6 4.2L / 3 HD-8 2" Carbs
Hi, for this engine, take a look at the video I placed on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK8MuDssr3I If this URL does not work, just go to Youtube and search for "EDIS JAGUAR" Super thanks to Craig K. & John H. for their help and guideance. This will show bench testing the V3 b...

Hi, I've tested this problem several times on my new V4 board. Using a 9V battery that only has under 7Vs in it I can communicate with multi computers and the LED stays on and bright. I've flashed my tuning program to the processor. If I have more than 7V powering the board, it will not communicate ...

Hi, I verified COM 1 with Device Manager and also 1.3V on pin # 10 of U1 (9V battery only showed 7.8V) and correct placement of QG1. Is there any way to mess up the firmware that it would need to be reinstalled? Is there anyway to verify that the firmware is loaded and ready to go? Why does the LED ...

Cannot flash the firmware to V4 unit
Hello: We are at a point where we are trying to use the hc08sprg,exe program to flash the firmware onto a newly assembled V4 unit. When we run the following command as per the flash directions: hc08sprg.exe COM1 mjlJunior_V4.0.2.s19 It just sits there with the message: Waiting for HC08 reset ACK... ...

Hi, OK I've run again a complete power test and I have 5V+ where I should have and 12V+ where its suppose to be, such as the input pin on the voltage regulator. I did check 5V+ on U2 / MAX232 chip and I have power there. Hooking up the circuit board with a serial cable to my XP computer, I still get...

Hi, I'm reading the circuit diagram and trying to follow the 12V from the Molex connector to the voltage regulator. If there is suppose to be 12V on the Molex pin and then 12V on the VR input pin and then 5V output, can I just go to the VR input pin and apply 12V to power the unit? If a track is bro...

Hi, with the aid of a magnifying glass, I'm seeing I think, the following: LF50ABP ST WO6239 CHINA I'll do some trace fault finding and see what I come up with. I'm sorry if I posted information which might not have been correct on the 14.4V input listing. Thanks, Mike Goodwin Phoenix, AZ 1968 E Typ...

Hi, after doing some research on the NET and reviewing some pictures of the LM2937ET-50 (U3) I believe that the pin next to the C1 chip is the input pin, the center pin is the ground and the pin next to the C2 chip is 5V+ output. The chip is rated to maximum 14.4V input and this is what may have cau...

Hi, I'm using a 12V car battery. As mentioned, I've got 12V on both sides of the Molex connector but no +5V readings anywhere on the board. If the VR is bad, could I still get the commands from the MJ unit to the EDIS. Car runs fine, just no tach output andno ability to talk to a XP computer with a ...
