We actually used thick fishing line - seems to work great, and very durable. If you can, please post pics of your install! Will post some pics. Though I have a question. I thought I had it figured out but I don't. How do I account for Steering Wheel rotation far left and far right if my sensor rang...

Miata steering angle sensor install?
Got a 92 Miata. Used Brent's post about connecting pot string to the Merkur steering shaft but the Miata steering shaft is in a solid pipe till the knuckle at the firewall. I loosened the knuckle bolt and looped picture frame hanger wire around the bolt head and tightened it back down but it broke. ...

Re: RCP2 installed in a VVT Spec Miata
Sweet looking install. Thank you for sharing. Hey guys, I just thought y'all might enjoy seeing the installation I just did last week. I think it turned out pretty well. I'm really happy with the results that we got using AEM sensors with the Pro2. I just bought one of the new RaceCapture devices fo...

Still having GPS issues with the box
Absolutely. Let's get this resolved. Hey Brent. Finally had a moment to reinstall the repaired box. Made sure I only finger tightened the gps antenna connector. As usual, I didn't get GPS signal. I had the latest version of RCP on windows laptop though the firmware was not the latest version on RCP...

No luck w new antenna
The GPS creep can happen as the GPS locks on and satellites are acquired, then it will stabilize. GPS is an incredibly complex process, presented in a simple way. The key metrics for quality are the GPSQual, GPSSats, and GPSDOP indictors. For GPSQual you want 2 or 3 for best performance; GPSSats - ...

Thanks. So under a clear sky and 2.10.0 - you only got a GPS lock once then? Since your GPS module is initializing, but not getting a signal, there could be a problem with the antenna, the module itself our the GPS chip's RF front-end. Did it work reliably before you got the USB repaired? Yes, afte...

Hi, Do you have the cellular module option with two antenna connections on the front? Sometime we've seen cases where people accidentally connect GPS on the top connector, but GPS actually needs to be connected to the bottom connector. Did you ever get a GPS lock on this unit with any firmware vers...

Follow up troubleshooting
Hey, I tried what you laid out. 01. Did 2 10 minute GPS polling sessions but never got signal. 2 different locations with minimal overhead obstructions. The locations were 5 miles apart. 02. I disconnected the antenna cable and verified that it wasn't nicked though it did have a pinch in it. The jac...

The weird thing is no joy with the 2.92 update last night but success with the 2.10 update today.
Now I just gotta get faster and try to figure out 2 GoPro lua scripting with my new wifi module.
Learned my lesson, keep everything up to date.
