Absolutly correct. I fitted a custom trgger wheel to my Vauxhall pully and they are both the same size. Therefore the teeth do not stick out from the pully at all. It works perfectly.

Just to clarify the 25uF cap is not required but is included (by Ford) as radio suppression in the coil circuit. I personally have kept it in the orginal wiring loom (the small grey block about the size a match box) to avoid radio problems.

I guess it is up to you if you include it or not.

You can see the Cap on my installation right next to the coil pack. As SRandle said it's part of the orginal loom from the standard production cars.

The 25uF cap is part of the EDIS setup (The grey block, about the size of a match box) and is there for noise suppresion in the coil lines, it helps to reduce the RF noise that production cars are tested for.

What you can do initally is use a timing light to get your current mechanical curve and put this into the MJLJ. Thanks for all the info guys. Glad to here I can map on the fly. I guess the only improvement I could think of would be to allow the site to be modifed and uploaded from the realtime display. But I guess that would have to wait for a new version of MegaJolt Tune. I am unfortunatly not a Java program...

After an unplanned engine change, my car is finally ready to have it's map tweaked. It is possible to change the advance number in a bin with the eninge still running? Will the MJLJ use the new advance?

The toerance of +/-0.1mm is more than accurate enough. The EDIS unit counts based ont he waveform of the sensor so as long as the gaps and teeth a roughly the same size it will work fine.
