Thanks Martin, managed to flash the latest firmware onto his mjlj so just needs a test drive now.
EDIT- Seems to have sorted the problem, he just called me and sounded pretty pleased, thanks again.

Intermitant miss-fire
Hi, Im asking on behalf of a friend whos running megajolt and is experiencing the odd mis-fire. He has staged led shift lights connected to the user outputs and every time the engine miss-fires all the shift lights flash together. The earths for the jolt and module are connected together on the chas...

Im not sure weather its needed or not but i mounted mine on a piece of alloy thats slightly larger than the module and spaced the alloy plate away from the inner wing where its mounted so pretty simple anyway.

Configurator info.
I can only save a new configuration using the 0.2.2.1260 tuner, all others cause problems with error messages saying it cant read certain values. I am using the serial adaptor in the following link.

Agreed
I second that, now i have sorted all the small setting up issues the system is working very well. Most impressed with the soft limiter, its so easy on the engine and works excellent for my application. One of the best modifications i have on my car, many thanks to those responsible for this superb i...

Problem solved
I have found that when my timing gun advance dial is set to 0 the timing is very stable, as soon as you try to read any advance using the guns dial (reading off tdc marks) the light shows the timing as unstable. I see that others have had similar issues with timing lights with advance on. It seems t...

Seperate 12v feed to coil pack?
Does anyone else run the edis/megajolt/coil pack from the same 12v supply? Im getting stable rpm and map values and engine sounds smooth with no missing but when checking timing (sealey TL85 timing light with advance) the light shows rock solid advance apart from a very occasional retard flash. I wa...

will circuit overheat?
I have just made up the diode circuit (2x 1n4004 and 15v zener) to run my rev counter and wondered if the components will be ok in heat shrink? I have no idea if any of the above components get hot and i need to make up the circuit another way? Just for confirmation im running a small TIM rev counte...

Still problems!
Im hoping the new firmware/software will correct this, but it took several attemps to change the configuration then write to flash. Somtimes after a power down-up cycle only my values in vacuum cells would change, the rest went to 0 and a window pops up telling it cant reads values of 78 or 208!! Bu...

Storing new configuration
Is there a specific procedure in storing a new ignition configuration? I did finally manage to store in a new map but not sure how?? Does the megajolt need switching off in between changing settings? Im using the V3.0.0 software with a V3 board purchased direct from Brent in september 2005 so take i...
