I fitted Megajolt to my Rover v8 for exactly the same reasons with using LPG, see my post here:

http://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=2616

Probably the best mod I have done to my car (apart from fitting the v8 :D )

Brent- thats the one, us rover v8 people have "flapper" efi on the earlier cars, with a sprung loaded door being used to measure the air flow.

Later cars use the "hotwire" type of air flow meter.

Peter, I am running resistive NGK plugs in my Rover 3.5 (9.35:1 comp ratio)- BPR6ES i think they are? No problems in the last couple of years of LPG running... Gapped to the upper limit of the Land-Rover specs. I have heard many good things about these people http://www.fastlaneauto.co.uk/ - they wi...

Yep, everything i have read says resistive plugs are needed with EDIS.

I do have a set of non-resistive NGKs that i have been meaning to fit to mine to see how bad it really is.

My Rover 3.5 is currently running the Denso equivalent of BPR6ES (resistive) plugs, all tickety boo so far...

The gauge will read approx 100kPa on the bench as this is what atmospheric pressure is normally. When you suck on the map sensor, you are creating a vacuum thereby reducing the pressure seen by the sensor, so yours sounds to be working correctly. 105kPa is a bit high though- you must have excellent ...

Nitro- thats strange, on mine the laptop will automagically change to display the map that i am switched to. Its pretty obvious when i change as the values are quite different between petrol and LPG... Isnt there a dialogue box somewhere where you set it to auto-read on change of map, prompt you to ...

So your vacuum increases (kPa drops) under acceleration? Sounds odd. Really it should be the other way around- what side of the throttle butterfly is the map takeoff? Filter side or manifold side? Should be manifold side. Really you should see your vacuum highest (kPa lowest) when you are at idle or...

1984 Landrover 90- 3.5 V8

Here is my attempt to write the process of assembling and installing my Megajolt setup. This is by no means intended as a “how to” guide or anything like that, but rather as a guide showing how relatively straightforward it has been. Hopefully some people who may have been considering going ...

Checking that map for the Bowler, the guy says it is a "soft" map- but his max advance is 44degrees! I always thought that the bigger the displacement, the lower the max advance.... To put this into perspective, my 3.5 runs a maximum of (can't remember exactly now) 38 degrees on LPG! altho...

Metro, If you are looking for more people with 4.6 RV8's you may want to try posting/searching on LR4x4.com (landrovers- but not all of us drive smoky old diesels), or www.v8forum.co.uk... Either one will have threads with people asking ignition questions. There are a couple of big Megasquirt thread...

Cylinder 1 is the pot nearest where the dizzy is/was, with the odd cylinders on the one side and the even on the other. so you have: ******* Rear of car 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Front of car ******* I'd do as the others suggest and fire it up without MJ, EDIS only and see where the timing is sitting and go f...

MJ controlled rad fan triggered by indicators!

Guys, I know this is probably an earth problem or something and wanted some advice on where to head to first. Some background: My radiator fan was bought as a complete kit from Kenlowe, and as such was up until recently set up as standard, with the temperature being sensed by the capillary un...

I think you might be muddling the two different types of advance and their function a little (easy to do) First of all you have to remember that a given fuel/air mixture will pretty much burn at the same speed, no matter what RPM your engine is doing. If you imagine how quickly a stroke occurs at 50...
