Here's the latest. The car is very close to dialed in with 45dcoe dual webers.

Hi Tim: I had a 73 Tii (I don't think I would have ever tried to megajolt it though). Those cars are notorious for wiring shorts, especially at the fuse box. I pull the power form under the steering column from one of the wires that comes out from the switch when power is on. rod h. You should stick...

Running and Tuned Zetec Bugeye
Got the 2.0 Liter Zetec tuned in, and it is really great. I used the Map for 285 cams from: http://www.cate1.co.uk/megajolt/maps/2000%20Zetec%203D%20(285%20cams).cfg I actually detuned the ignition a little and advanced the cam. Engine specs: 2 liter Ford Zetec Bore .020 over Balanced running assemb...

First I hooked up the tach with the Diodes and the Zener and just one leg from the coil to see what I got. It wasn't quite right, so I yanked the diode and zener and hooked up just one wire from the coil to the tach. Bingo, 900 rpm. So, I guess if your going to have an electric tachometer made into ...

I talked with NH Speedo and it appears they set the Tach up for a 2 cylinder engine thinking the wasted spark wouls function properly if only getting one lead from the coil, so it is reading approx 2 times what the input is. Would it be possible to use a single leg from the coil and leave it set up ...

T Zetec : Glad to see another Zetec user come along. I using a modified 2 liter with weber 45's and a MAP sensor rather than TPS (per Brent's recomendation) I have a MAP that is slightly changed from this site (I made it a lttle less aggressive) http://homepage.ntlworld.com/steve_randle/ You can che...

Tachometer hook-up Zetec Bugeye Project
Trouble shooting my tach-hook up. I got my tach changed to electric from North Hollywood Speedo. I sent them a diagram of how the tach was run off the 2 coil wires and the schematic. I hooked up with the double diode and single zener set-up. Fired-up the engine. With the engine running at about 850 ...

15-18v ZENER DIODE
Hi guys: I'm trying to do the tach set-up using the 1n4004 and the 15-18v zener diode. All the parts in our extra bins around here are marked with part numbers not zener 15 or 18 v. Can someone throw out a part number to look for? I'm a mechanical guy not electrical, so I'm not certain what I'm Look...

Wiring up the MJLJ in my Zetec, Part 2
I got my laptop to talk with the MJLJ, I feel warm and fuzzy all over (somebody hug me). Questions: When entering the ignition map data do you enter from low to high or high to low (for the Map bins) or does it matter? Does anyone have any thoughts for baseline input for the MAP sensor? Thanks, Rod

Tachometer Set-Up
I'm hooking up my brand new VDO Electric Tachometer. It has a setting for hooking it up to a coil or for using pulses per revolution. I'd like to use the pulses setting, but I'm not sure of compatibility. It has settings for 6-9 pulses per revolution, 9-13 or 12-18. Here are my questions: Has anyone...
